For this campaign we are making a series of commitments to our customers as we believe that all people should have the opportunity to enjoy an fun night out without having to worry about the safety and welfare of themselves or others. There have been a number of high-profile incidents recently in the news in which students and young people have lost their lives or fallen victim to serious injury and crime – it is our mission to ensure the safety of our customers from the moment they first contact us until they leave the venue in a licensed taxi at the end of the evening.
Free Bag Check – Customers will be welcomed to leave handbags in our secure cloakroom free of charge – this means customers can put their mind at rest and leave a change of shoes, a coat and anything valuable in the cloakroom before they enjoy their night.
Chill-Out Room – We have created a dedicated customer welfare area – any customers struggling emotionally or if you or a friend need a time-out from the busy club, you can ask any member of staff to visit our chill-out room. We have trained staff who can provide support until you well enough to return to the venue or contact a friend, relative or licensed taxi to help you get home.
Dedicated Welfare Officer – Every night we will provide a dedicated Welfare Officer – this is a member of Management or Door Staff who is trained in First Aid and who can provide support to anyone who becomes injured or anyone who is struggling emotionally.
Free Phone Charging – We have recently installed some portable phone chargers which can be accessed at reception via the Charger UK App. We will also provide Free Phone Charging to anyone with a phone with no battery who needs to contact or locate friends, family or a taxi.
Free Bottled Water – We will provide complimentary drinking water to any intoxicated customers leaving the venue.
Taxi Calling Service – We will assist customers in finding taxis to make their way home. We will help customers to hail taxis at the taxi rank opposite the venue or alternatively to call a private hire taxi.
Ask For Angela – We operate an Ask for Angela scheme at all times – if you are on a date and you feel uncomfortable or it hasn’t turned out as you planned, ask any member of staff for Angela and you will be taken to a secure area until the person making you feel uncomfortable has been removed from the venue or until we have made arrangements for your safe passage home.
